An AI tutor with a face: learning through conversation
An interactive learning platform with an AI video tutor that listens and responds in real time. Learners can ask questions, explore a topic, and get help without waiting for the lesson to finish.
The challenge
Recorded video courses cannot answer a question, and text chatbots cannot hold a classroom's attention. Making a tutor that does both means running speech recognition, a language model, speech synthesis, and a video avatar in a loop fast enough to feel like conversation rather than lag.
What we built
- Live audio and video sessions between learners and their tutor
- Natural spoken conversations with responses fast enough to keep the lesson flowing
- Video avatars that make a lesson feel like talking to a tutor
- Interactive lesson flows where the learner can interrupt, ask, and be corrected mid-explanation
What changed
Lessons became conversations. Learners ask mid-explanation and get answered in the same breath, which a recorded course was never going to do.
